Its a tricky one. Some people really do see themselves as curators of the tradition and they read the words of these songs as they sing them. And the point they labour is that they are keeping these songs going. No one else would be singing them - if it wasn't for them. I think this is a valid point of view, and I respect it. They have their clubs - we have ours.
