Skunks are a common carrier of rabies. I don't remember if they can be given rabies shots, but if they can't, I think there is no point in starting that experiment. Check on those basics before you contemplate the problems of trapping a skunk.

I've seen them in plenty of campgrounds--they're pan-handlers. Usually a handful of gravel tossed their direction is enough to chase them off without a devastating reaction.
