I had the chance to shoot a cap and ball Colt today - fiddly to load, but great fun to shoot, and the .45 soft lead balls make an impressive hole in the target.
Also shot a .357 underlever Marlin and a hefty .60 buffalo gun firing a 470 grain bullet - which was a monster. This was after a get-together with musicians, so the two can go together peacefully...
