This may sound strange comming from a banjo player/maker but I think that there is nothing better than the sound of the pipes, especially the Scottish Pipes, and I would back any movement to see them more accepted at festivals and smaller venues. Any sensitive player of any instrument should be able to vary the volume and tone to fit in with the venue and other musicians.(this is not intended to generate even more banjo jokes and insults)
