I recall that Tom Paley did Sam McGhee's "Railroad Blues" playing in an E major fingering with a slide up 7 frets with a bend on the second string during the instrumental. It was a mind blower! I love the verse that goes:Met a little gypsy in a fortune tellin' place Yes I met a little gypsy, in a fortune tellin' place She read my mind, and then she slapped my face.
Tom did a fine job of lifting the song note-by-note and lick-by-lick off of the old Sam McGhee recording.
