There was an old chap in our pub who was a bomber pilot. He got out of Holland before the Germans invaded and joined the RAF. I remember to this day the tales he told in his rich Dutch accent

"It vas on a very dark night ven ve first crossed de Cherman border. Ve fist hear de drone of de engines an den ve saw de fockers coming towards us..."

"Were these Focker Wolfs?" asked a memeber of the audience

"No, deez fockers were in Mescherschits..."
