Just seen in the Liverpool Daily Post of the death yesterday of Cliff Hall aged 83 in Adelaide, Australia. There's an article nearly filling p3 and an obituary on p9. Can't seem to find it at their website
though.

Cliff was born in 1925 and came to England from Jamaica in 1942 to join the RAF, worked as an electrician in the 50s and met Tony Davis. In 1958 they joined Hughie Jones and Mick Groves to form The Spinners, who survived till 1988. Their influence on the English folk revival was incalculable.

He married three times and was twice widowed and had three children.

When the roll is called up yonder....
