Cath has he really reached an age where the twinkle in his eye is only the reflection of the sun off his glasses? that for him a happy hour is a nap? Does he take longer to rest than it did to get tired? Is his memeory shorter and his complaining longer? Does he even recall when his wild oats turned to prunes and all bran?
