OK, this isn't a folk song, but it's a song that caught my fancy when I was about 12, and I still kind of like it, but I've never been able to figure out the exact Italian lyrics.   (I'm doing better now, since I spent some time in Italy in the '70s and learned some Italian, but I'm still not sure of these lyrics.)

Here are the English lyrics, along with the supposedly "Italian" lyrics.   It's clear to me that whoever posted them on the "innertubes" first got Italian mixed up with Spanish, and it seems the errors have made their way around the world before the truth (the real lyrics) had a chance to put its proverbial pants on.

I'm hoping if we have any Italian Mudcatters or catters who are proficient in Italian, they can listen to this You Tube of The Gaylords singing this song and tell me what they are singing in Italian.

Can someone provide the official Italian lyrics or transcribe them from?

*What I'm sure of is that it's "per ballare," not "de bailare," and I'm pretty sure it's "Ballaremo" or "Balleremo" "tutt' il vie" but I'm not sure if the "vee" sound is a contraction (e.g., for "vita").    I'm also not sure if it's "scarpine." I thought "shoes" would be "scarpiti" or something like that.   And I'm really having trouble with the last "co cosi" or "cocusi" part.
