Soak in 10% concentration of lye (Red Devil) for 10 minutes to flat.
Soak in 05% concentration of vinegar (apple prefered AKA acedic acid)for 10 minutes to sharp.
Soaking for a week (drying for a month) in acetone will add a BRILLANCE - that is seldom found outside "old bones" - because all of the "resonance dulling fat" has been removed. Some will then soak prepared bones in a mixture of "super-glue acetone" to give a resonating "SNAP" - however, if you want THAT - why use bones??? use Nara Mohageny instead.
Sincerely,
Gargoyle
Distinct tonal differences between silver (too soft) tin (too poisonus) and stainless (to brillant)... go to a thrift store and PLAY with their stuff. I like coconut.
