I had a friend , ex-Royal Navy ( HMS Protector ) ,who lost a leg when a hawser snapped. I used to annoy him by singing ;

   "He's honest and faithful ,right up to the end,

    that wonderful four,three,two, one-legged friend ! "

    He didn't like it.
