After I've had a songwreck, or someone near and dear to me has, I find singing this gem cracks up the audience Shit, I've forgotten the Words
I've modified this one for contemporary US by turning the "packet of fags" into "an ATM statement" and using the name of one of MY friends who knows all the words to everything...
And on the verse that begins "Sometimes they come back line by line as I sing/ Tonight I can't seem to remember a thing", Pausing a nervousmaking length of time after "Tonight" also get a howl.
