Honestly, Dickie must have gone to different types of folk festivals than I did. Either that, or I was unaware of what happened inside cold, rain-soaked tents pitched 2 feet away from other cold, rain-soaked tents. The best thing about folk festivals for me is the wanton jamming. All those musicians gathered in one place. I'm very promiscuous when it comes to singing/playing and often skip the daytime concerts/workshops in favor of flitting around looking for the next group of musicians to get it on with.
