Well, they didn't consider it much of a corrupting influence, given that there aren't any kids in Lowman and...well, there were other reasons. I don't have much aplomb, if you you must know. I had to sell most of it when I was a little kid to help Mom pay the bills. I remember one day we had nothing to eat but what we could scrounge from the leavings of the sewer rats, and that was mouldy. I whacked off some of my aplomb and sold it so that we could afford water. Luckily, the next day the wolf was at the door so we killed and ate it. Ever eat wolf for a week? Mmm-mmm GOOD! Especially when it's been aged five or six days. And we wore the skin that winter and it kept us warm. Unfortunately it turned both of my brothers into werewolves, but we finally cured them of that a few years ago. Now they only howl at the new moon.
