After barbecued burgers, bratwust ,sweet corn and salad, we sat outside by torch-light under the stars and had a whale of a session. I was able to record most of the hootenanny, and will mix down some tape in the next few days. It was a night to remember thanks to Allan, Bill, Wyowoman, Rex,and Bluejay, as well as honorary Mudcatters Dan, Jeanette, Elise and 10 year old fiddle-whiz Kyle O'Brien, and not to forget Rex's guitar-playing pal Bill. The selection of songs ranged from traditional English hornpipes and American Bluegrass to Dylan , Guthrie, Stan Rodgers, Everly Brothes and original tunes.

What a great thing the Mudcat Cafe is when it brings people together in music, as it did last night. Pure magic...
