I always have my mobile switched on in case there is an emergency with the kids. I do however make absolutely certain that it is set to silent/vibrate. I tend to do that even if it is an open session or even if I am in a public place like a restaurant or whatever. I encourage texts rather than calls unless a real serious emergency.
