I've been wearing these type of glasses for many years now, but with, I think, less noticeable nose and ear rests. She still looks like she's wearing glasses because of the dark 'frames'.

Since I have to wear mine all the time there's less wear and tear, but I haven't noticed that they are any less sturdy than normal framed glasses.
