I had the good fortune to see the Ramblers at the Ash Grove in the early 1960's. I'm sure that Mike Seeger must have already made a contribution to this cause. On the same bill were Jackie DeShannon (masquerading as a new folk artist) and Sam Hinton, among others. I don't know if Sam's family has any such memorabilia. He lived near us for years, but moved to "retirement quarters" a year or two ago. Is anyone associated with the ownership or management of the Ash Grove still alive and kicking? Who knows?
