I'd be more inclined to hire on a proven track record than education .... too much emphasis is put towards education .... many of the great innovators, leaders in history and even today do not have a university degree or if they did were mediocre students

On the other side of the coin many of the current bank, corporate (hell, even include U.S. political) disasters have been led to their demise by university grads of the most notable degree.
