I have a Vega Deering. The tone and response is quite good. The pot construction is excellent. The neck is a fairly simple one piece -very slim profile and not stable enough in my opinion for a professional. It is not nearly the same quality as original Vega tubaphone banjos.   A better deal can be had looking up a modern maker such as Chuck Lee banjos for example - much more value for the money in a tubaphone.
