Kat, I'm sorry to see you have to go through that. After a burglary here we had to do a lot of changing of account numbers, and it isn't easy or quick. An incompetent credit union person (slow, seems to have lost the info on her desk) didn't help.

Today was a day for those chores that take a few more steps. Not difficult, just tedious. Like taking the step stool, screw driver and dish towel with me to change the halogen porch light. And the step ladder back to the bedroom so after I ironed the curtains I could hang them (after a cat peed on them last week. . . grrr). I did my shopping list run, a loop of stops with a specific task at each place and no extra cash for anything not on the list. I hope I'll build up my buffer starting this month after paying off the credit cards, but it takes a few weeks to get past the regular bills to have some extra from child support to put in savings.

I'm not making any plans regarding my tax return next year. It's an invitation to something in the house or vehicle to break. And amazingly, it always about equals the amount of the tax return. So no plans, we will just see what happens when that time comes. (Which is sooner than we all are thinking--not quite three months until 2009. And just a little over 4 weeks until Nov. 4--so much to look forward to!)

I'm finished for the evening. I'm going to read a book for a while--I've been trying to make time to read the seventh Harry Potter book for several weeks. Maybe tonight before I fall asleep.
