Subject: RE: BS: October Seasonal de-clutter BIG push
A busy, warm, beautiful Fall weekend.

1. The FreeCycled-in ski-exerciser (that was replaced with a much better one Hardi was recently given) went to the roadside yesterday, because I didn't FreeCycle it out quick enough. Hardi was so disappointed to see it still leaning against a tree when we came back from church last night! In this part of the country, if you want it gone like that (no curbs here), you have to put a FREE sign on it and put it next to the driveway mouth so people can pull over to get it safely, I explained.

This one is not in good enough shape to Freecycle it, actually.

2. The back porch (where it had been waiting for me to deal with it) is becoming quite a nice sitting porch/camper stand-in.

3. Hardi also moved the camper to its winter position out of the way of the John Deere snowplow soon to come out for the winter.

3. He also got the "last" mowing of the lawn done, making way for his winter X-country ski track. This included knocking out the treelets I hadn't marked to save, and leaving the ones I did mark. A real back yard is shaping up-- with mature, canopied shade trees now to be augmented with the treelets that sprang up and a "privacy trellis" I'll cobble up in the spring out of cow panels and climbing container plants until I can get some of the local crown vetch established there. Maybe a few caged tomaters and green peppers.
