How could I forget one of the best songs about corruption:
"Little Tin Box" from Fiorello! (Bock and Harnick, 1958)
"Try Me" from She Loves Me (Bock and Harnick, 1963) concerns making change from an imaginary purchase.
Then there's their "If I Were a Rich Man" from Fiddler On the Roof.
"Little Egypt" by Leiber and Stoller, recorded by The Coasters has the narrative involving "one thin dime 1/10 of a dollar". This is also quoted by The Beach Boys, I think in Amusement Parks USA.
