I heard a lot of barking modulated to say (in dog terms) "what is this human doing so close to my yard up on that ladder?" Amazing how you recognize their barks. Anyway, it was the cable guy next door and I picked his brain. I'm going to set up my house with cable Internet pretty soon, and he was able to give me useful answers. Time to move forward with that, I think.

I have to rewire my phones and redo some of my coaxial cable in the house. I don't want them fishing around in the walls, I want it all ready to just set up. They'll run a new wire from the pole, and it will be higher this time. I'm looking forward to it, one day soon.
