Well, we had a most different accident around here today. Seems like one woman was badly hurt and another killed when their car hit a moose.

A full-grown, adult moose.

On the Interstate. I-15, about 40 miles south of here.

I've seen dead deer, dead coyotes, dead foxes, and a dead porcupine along the Interstate, but this is a first. What's so damned worrisome about this is that the moose had to have been crossing a sagebrush desert. Moose don't hang out in deserts; they eat aquatic plants.

I'm sorry for the women and even for the moose (which didn't survive to be questioned), but I blame W for this.
