Lovely, Mbo. It is still like that, where we live. Just today it was my turn to knock on a stranger's door, for help, to report a road wreck on the way to work. (Not my wreck!!!) Unlocked door, and a new friend calling "come in..."

I knocked on the porch door, see, and was met with welcome before he even got to the door.... and to go in and use the phone, with no fear, and a mutual wish to have a good day...

Sometimes it's our trun to let someone in to make a wreck report, for ours is the only house with lights on late at night, right on the road....
