Thanks Maeve, but 1 1/2 wouldn't be enough headroom unless you can run it with fewer trays and therefore more space. However, given my lack of freezer room now, I may need to start drying stuff for storage...

Freezer is duly downsized and is very full! The old one is on the yard, dripping cobwebs. Friend's husband has gone off with two large, bulging carrier bags. Now I have to reorganise the garage a bit more so that I can store more logs in it, and get the bikes back into an accessible place.
