Thread Name: BS: Have you voted?

Don, thanks for confirming what I remembered. Those booklets (as you say, they could be large) were very handy and I read them through before voting. Now it is a crap shoot as to whether the newspaper might run something. I am glad to see the League of Women Voters site.

GUEST, Justin U. doesn't seem to have gotten the hang of what this thread is about, or understand that just because it is "below the line" that there is not a "no holds barred" attitude. I recommend he lurk for a while and post once he understands the place a little better.

Kat, taking the videographer might help, might not. Good luck trying. Folks who cheat on purpose like that often have strategies in place for covering their asses.

When I voted I had to wait for a few minutes to get in, and there were politicians and their proxies handing out materials at the edges of the boundary for political campaigning. I was disappointed to hear the woman who walked out behind me reassure the Republican judge that she had "voted a straight ticket, and you were on it." I kind of wanted to get out of there without feeling like the next idiot in line had cancelled out my vote.

Oh, well. Maybe next time.
