Interesting and complex day.

I dug part of a new bed for some irises my neighbor gave me (blue--I only had a couple of those and I lost track of them last time I dug up the bed they had been in). I'll also put some of Janie's poppy seeds (from North Carolina) in there and see what happens in the spring. Should be wonderful.

Filing and tossing and shredding papers. You know how sometimes you find a pocket of stuff that just needs to go away? Old mementos, whatever. A slim pack of those went up in smoke in the grill this evening. Nice.

I've been filing papers that I kept from scholarly pursuits. I have a drawer where those things are supposed to go once they are in a computer database, but now I'm just filing alphabetically and will put them in the database another day. It's time to get this paper off of my workspace.
