Dear Guest FIFE, A question. How far back does your "British" family tree go? And how would you define Britishness? For example, wuld you consider it appropriate to acknowledge the Pict/ Celt/ Hun/ Norman/ Angle/ Jute/ Saxon/ Roman etc etc inputs to your family or do you merely go back as far as your parents in order to avoid such embarassment? Would you consider Max Mosley a fellow Brit or, for that matter, that idle, workshy layabout Greek currently married to the nice German lady and residing in the big house in SW1?

Do you have a sliding scale of parasites? I wonder how many East Europeans it takes to consume the quantity of state handouts we give to that mongrel Greek/ German crew each year? A fair few I would wager.
