Finished drying the last of our tomatoes on Saturday. We also hauled away the five boxes of unneeded canning jars to the village recycling center/swap shop. I found a bathroom rack there that has now been reshaped and repurposed to hang at the back of the kitchen sink, so the handsoap, sponge, scrubbers, etc are neat, clean, and dry. I like having them available and not making a slimy mess around the sink.

Saturday afternoon I drove to Sinsull's house concert, with one small detour to pick up Freecycle artist's canvas and stretcher frames to use when I get my paints unpacked this winter. After I arrived home (after a wonderful concert and Sinsull's hospitality of a room for the night) I rested for an hour or so before driving downeast for an hour or so. There I paid a tiny price for a great manual grain grinder.
