The Catlin story reminds me of a recent survey I took of the shelves at our local gourmet supermarket where you see row upon row of pickled pigs feet, Rocky Mountain oysters, ox tail soup, but not a single can of puppy dog tails. When I complained to the management, they acknowledged that one of their assistants had placed such an order but it had been curtailed by his superior.
