Another contest, another chance to lift my aging pen and agile hand to paper.
I thought,"If only I could reestablish some brain patterns to make thought come alive once again".
My pen quivered with excitement when it began to touch the paper. It danced words that were actually tangable and the paper soaked up ink with glee.
Letters, words and thoughts poured from my hand with a recollection of poetry and prose of years gone by.
The nurse entered the room saying, "Here, take your meds" , and mumbled "She has got to stop all this scribbling on the walls".
