Subject: Harmony(& Eric Bogle), Prairie Home Companion
This Saturday, (April 4) Harmony, an old time string band from Fox, Arkansas, will be on A Prairie Home Companion as a part of the show's annual search for talent from towns of under 2,000.

Harmony on APHC!

I have heard them many times, and recommend them highly. When you get to the page above, clicking the itty bitty picture of Mary's face will give you a picture of the whole group, (Robert & Mary Gillihan, Dave Smith), and clicking the word Harmony will give you a Real Audio of their audition, Wild Rose of the Mountain.

There are many other auditions on the page as well. I especially liked Mountain Aire, but I don't know if they are among the six finalists, so I guess you will just have to listen to Saturday's show and find out!

Something else for Mudcatters to check out, last week's show is not yet on line, but it should be soon. This is all they have so far: Live from Portland, OR, MARCH 28, 1998, Scot-turned- Aussie singer-songwriter Eric Bogle and jazz pianist-singer Dave Frishberg.

For those of you unfamiliar with the site, they have a wealth of past shows featuring the music we all know and love. (well, maybe some we don't love) Just go to the front page, A Prairie Home Companion then to the show archive, and I almost guarantee that you will spend hours exploring!
