How can I write, without vision of you
To give some form to my dreams? I know
Too little for my lines to give a true
Reflection of your soul. I cannot show
My unknown feelings: Would you have me guess
Future desires? My words might hopes convey,
To hold as muse, but I cannot confess
You have more than my interest. Shall I say
What I might feel? I hope to find out more
Of you, to see if you would light my dreams.
Yet, hope cannot reality ignore:
I do not know if wish is what it seems.
How can I know if you are muse, or write,
Save you offer vision that brings me light?
