Just saw a thing on the news regarding Canadian Independence Day. Apparantly, there is a fair sized contingent of Canadian military folks serving in Southern Colorado, Colorado Springs, actually. Seems the Canucks have had a presence her since the late forties. The ones they interviewed seemed quite content. They mentioned friendly people, great weather, and lots of other military people. One soldier stated lots of Canadians count Colorado as a "home away from home". I can't say. That's just what I saw on TV. Not surprising though. I have felt equally at home in my excursions to the North.

I'm with you in spirit. Celebrate your fine nation. If you you use fireworks, be very careful. Thousands of U.S. people go to the emergency room each year on our Fourth of July for fireworks injuries. (And stray gunshot wounds, sorry for the thread creep). Thanks, BlueJay
