The point is that there is a widely held belief that the English isn't a particularly good instrument for Scottish music - without the phrasing enforced by a bisonoric system, it can be hard to make it idiomatically expressive.

But where the player lives then is surely irrelevant- it's the style of music they are trying to play that matters. Maybe a list of "players of Irish and Sottish Music on the english Concertina" is what the OP really wants?

But as for the phrasing, if bison style is a shiny cannon for Irish music, why the Sligo flute?
