About ten years ago, I noticed a lot of people started responding with "my pleasure" and you even hear that on tv interviews now, instead of "you're welcome".

When this really is obvious, is the when the subject is tragic. The automatic "My Pleasure" comes across as, Oh, Really? You were pleased to talk about this disaster?
