We have a great organisation here - Diabetes UK - with a useful website. I've learned more about my diabetes from Diabetes UK than I have from my doctor/practice nurse. It's a charitable organisation, and I'd encourage all UK diabetics to subscribe and/or donate.

There are also many, many local support groups who hold regular meetings and can give informed advice if it's required.
