Vivian Stanshall, "Sir Henry at Rawlinson End".

Another Icon of Englishness! But whilst the film and album are good - eternal favourites of mine anyway - let's not forget the sessions he did for John Peel which were the essence of Rawlinson End, and in which Stanshall excels in his sublime evocations. Some of these were re-edited for Radio 4's Book at Bedtime a few years back (over a decade actually) - & the sequence makes about 75 minutes of perfect listening.
