Thanks for the info, Willie-O. That's more than I learned in all my school years.

In 10th grade World History class, we had a Canadian student in our class. One day the conversation drifted to where the teacher mentioned that most Americans don't know what the Capital of Canada is, and polled the class to see. Sure enough, not one of us Yanks knew the answer (I learned though--Ottawa).

That summer, the school sponsored a trip to Expo 67. It was a blast. Still, I had no idea it was the centennial of the Confederation, and I'll bet none of the other students (and probably few or none of the teacher chaperones) knew either. Rather pitiful, ain't it?
