Thread Name: seeking: 'Womenfolk' recordings
Subject: RE: Womenfolk
Sorry, sometimes I get carried away with trying to keep messages short and forget that not everyone is familiar with all the tricks. The Mudcat has a provision to send personal messages, which is sort of like sending an email without having to publicly post the email in the forum. The catch is that I think you have to be a registered member to use it (if I am wrong about that someone will corrct me). But registering you membership is a good idea, so you should do it. No one will show up at your door uninvited and you will not receive any religious pamphlets in the mail. There is a "membership" click-on at the top of the page. Once you are registered, you can go to "personal page" and look for "send a message". From there you can access a list of all the goofy names that the registered members go by such as "rich r" or "rangeroger" etc. Then send that person a message. It will show up on their Mudcat the next time they log in.

As for general search engines on the web there are lots and everybody seems to have their favorite. Some of the more widely used ones include: yahoo.com, altavista.com, google.com, excite.com, northernlight.com and many others. Try the same search on a couple different ones and note that you will get different results. I hope that helps a little.

Curse those ebayers who have time to lurk around ending auctions while I am at work. A couple days ago I got beat out by one of those last minute scoundrels for the one Womenfolk album I am still lacking.
