Fortunately, as a singer and performer, talent is hereditary. On this debut CD "True Stories", Nathan Rogers melds traditional and original tunes that range in style from folk to blues to country to rock. He sings with the anger of Phil Ochs and a storytelling knack that emanates from his roots. The son of the late folksinger Stan Rogers and nephew of folksinger Garnet Rogers, the latest Rogers to take up folk music is also becoming known for his singing voice, his songwriting, playing many instruments and "telling outrageously funny stories."
