Like many groups, the Hilltoppers lead singer Jimmy Sacca went on his own. From what I remember, he had a minor hit before disappearing. He joins lead singers who never equalled their success they had with the group they were in like Tony Williams of the Platters (who had a couple of minor hits, from what I remember,) and Bill Kenny of the Ink Spots. Of course there were some who went on to pretty good success as solo artists, including Sam Cooke, Buddy Holly, and even Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby.
