Does anyone know the history of The Mannington Mine Disaster? I live about 4 miles from Mannington Kentucky. I have never heard that song and was just wondering.

I know in Mannington Ky there was a disaster years ago (early 1900's maybe) and 67 men (I think that was the number at least what I heard) died in the mine after an explosion. They couldn't get in to get them out so they are all still in there. Is that what this song is about? If so I have to hear it.
