In this day of mass media, North American musical influences have no boundries. You'll find Bob Dylan, and Stan Rogers clones everywhere. The Canadian fiddlers and learning American tunes, and visa versa. Music culture is meshing all over - which is both good and bad. It makes for a lot of interesting music, and it may also dilute music forms that were specific to one area in the past (like perhaps I've done a little with my bano recordings).
