It's a great, hypnotic song--but it seems to have gotten many of the details wrong--especially the attitude of Joshua himself, and the fact that nobody was killed.

Reading the information linked to above, it's evident that the song was based on a rumor--which proved false, and somewhat defamatory of Joshua.

That said, I still love to hear the song.

I wonder how many people believe the song's details are correct. It's hard to avoid if the song is the only context in which you know the history of the strike.
