I have never for one minute thought about the colour of other mudcatters. Perhaps that is because I don't care what colour you are? Do you sit around and discuss "why are almost all rappers white?" Not me. As far as folk clubs being primarily caucasian ... you must be referring to nowadays. I haven't been in a folk club in 25 years. When I was performing in folk clubs, there was a healthy mix of all races. I never thought about why there was a mix, I just figured they were there for the same reason as I ... for the music, politics, and socializing.
