Fact is, sometimes people think something's a valid topic even if others don't. Some people try to see the possiblities for good in "stupid and provocative" messages, and try to find an angle to enter the discussion without engaging in a flame war. Even things that start off as trolls can wind up being good discussions. You managed to prove something you weren't trying to prove - sometimes we do actually take messages at face value and don't read ulterior motives into them. I don't plan to stop doing that, so if you want to post another manipulative message to prove a point, go right ahead. I'm not going to believe everyone's disingenuous because one person has been.
