Hi Noreen, thanks for the heads up but I am more interested in the BBC/strangefruit release as there are some otherwise unreleased live recordings (does that make sense?). The intimacy of the more bare bones stuff where Sandys voice is THE key element are the greatest, for instance I find the French language version of listen listen from the Attic tracks quite hypnotic and play it over and over. My French remains poor however.

Spaw, there is now a biography on the market by music journo Clinton Heylin , apperntly it is V good, having the advantage of being given access to private diaries ETC.

The other by Pam Winters was buried because it was reported to be very poorly written, riddled with inaccurate information and misquotes. It was available free on the net for a while but it got shut down.

Whatever, as soon as I get home I'getting whichever is in the book store.
